To complete the most advanced cableless RTK solution you mount the Hiper+ on the GPS rover rod and control the operation with the Topcon FC-1000 handheld controller loaded with TOPCON TopSURV GPS controller software.

This controller combination is a new totally Topcon GPS+ solution ensuring an easy to use and complete RTK surveying system.

GPS+ is the term Topcon uses to describe its GPS systems because only Topcon makes use of the GLONASS as well as the GPS constellation of positioning satellites. In addition there are many unique Topcon GPS technology features such as co-op tracking, that set the core technology apart.

Today the GLONASS system gives a possible additional 10 satellites to supplement the GPS satellites. At any given time this could be 2 to 5 additional satellites to supplement GPS. In independent tests, using GPS and GLONASS satellites has been proved to give better performance:

    * Initialization times 2 times faster
    * 30% increase in the time available to measure
    * 60% increase in the places where measurements can be made

These savings in time and accessibility result in increased GPS performance and productivity for the user.

The new HiPer+ now can be ordered with either internal radio or with internal GSM cell phone communications. With GSM, just add a SIM card from a domestic service provider and TopSURV GPS+ controller software to obtain rover connectivity with cell-based reference station networks and long-range RTK without radios.
